McCARTHY Motor Holdings is a Motor Retailing organisation
with 101 dealerships in South Africa and 4 in the United Kingdom.
We represent over 20 different motor vehicle makes, both new
and used. It is South Africa's leading motor retailer with
a share of almost 14% of the national new vehicle dealer market.
Employing 5731 employees with a turnover of 7 billion Rand
the division is also the sole importer and distributor of
all Yamaha products and (except audio) is involved in the
short-term car rental market through Budget Rent a Car.
Four years ago after much research McCarthy Motor Holdings
purchased the Complete Sales Action system. We required a
programme that could grow with our organisation as well as
having the ability to print and change our own manuals. The
complete Sales Action Systems met all of our requirements
in that it provided us with a CD-ROM of all the material,
which included:
- Delegate's manual
- Trainer's Guide
- Manager's Guide
- Overhead Transparencies (Power Point presentation)
- Delegate's evaluation as well as an assignment to ensure that learning is transferred back at the workplace.
The programme has since received provisional accreditation
through our Motor Industries Training Board. It has also been
used extensively for all Sales Executives as well as Managers
and more recently for a Sales Academy. We have found the programme
to be most useful in that it covered basic as well as advanced
selling skills. Delegates found the programme to be highly
motivating and inspirational.
